TAG SALE | Hello friends! Will and Bequeath vintage is making a foray into IRL sales. Whut whut!
So … changes are (yet again) afoot. The last few months have been interesting. When I relaunched WIll and Bequeath vintage, I thought I was committed to two things: BRIGHT WHITE backgrounds, and selling here and only here (abandoning Etsy, Ebay, and my other favourite online haunts).
But then I started getting into Instagram and now my whole worldview on selling has changed (again). (Sidebar: ARE YOU FOLLOWING THE SHOP ON INSTA? You should. It’s the fastest way to get info about new items and sales. I put everything up on that sucker!)
It seems like I just don’t have enough of a profile to make selling exclusively though my own site a thing (yet). So I returned to Etsy. The fees have gone up recently, which is annoying, but Etsy gets more eyes on my smaller items, and makes it a lot more likely for them to find homes.
BUT …
I am also going to keep selling on my own site.
I’m just maybe possibly just going to limit what I list here to bigger things, more special things, and things that can’t be easily shipped. (Furniture, really heavy stuff, some lamps, rugs, etc.). And there will not be much crossover. So if you notice that stock has disappeared from this site, that’s why. It’s migrated over to Etsy, for the most part, and you can find it there easily. (Honestly, I am just testing the waters. I make no promises, but this is where we are today.)
But, that’s just the basic news. The bigger news is that I’m doing a real-life, live-action, you-can-actually-set-eyes-of-my-doofusy-face-if-you-come Will & Bequeath vintage (and friends!) POP UP TAG SALE at the Hollow Rock (Racquet and Swim Club) Summer Kick Off Market, this May 4th, 2019.
I made new friends!
I’ve joined forces with a couple of my new Insta pals (@bullcitythrifter and @howthelightgetsin) who will be at the 10′ x 10′ with me, selling some of their own wares.
Please, please come! I am, by nature, a hermit who loathes and fears real-life interactions, but I’m facing my fears to be out there and I’d love to say howdy and share a sweaty handshake with ya.
As I work to get products up for sale on my own site, interested buyers should feel free to shop Will and Bequeath vintage on Etsy and Will and Bequeath vintage on Poshmark. These platforms take a large percentage of the sale price, and charge various other feels to sellers as well. In the future, I hope to have all my stock available on my own site, but until then…
