The two Jordans

SHOUTOUT | Today I am just sharing a wee event on behalf of a friend.

Jordan Trethewey (which by the way, is pronounced Treth-ew-ee not Treth-away, which is how I pronounced it for well over a year, embarrassingly, whoops) is going to be wrapping up his latest poetry book tour tomorrow with one last stop here in Fredericton at the library in the afternoon.

The tour’s been going since April and is known as The Two Jordans Book Tour (cute). It’s a collaborative tour featuring both the aforementioned local Jordan and his buddy Jordan Stewart who is from Grand Bay, and they’ve been visiting a bunch of places in Southern New Brunswick, including the Saint Andrew’s Brewing Company, The Write Cup Bookstore Café in Saint John, Café C’est La Vie in Moncton, and Dog Eared Books, which is pretty much local as it’s just in Oromocto.

Tomorrow’s event at the Fredericton Public Library from 2:00 – 4:00 PM will be the last stop and so it’s your last chance to see them.

I’ll be there, and I’ll be buying their books, because I’m nice like that! I could use someone to sit with.

Jordan’s been very cool to me since I met him a couple of years ago and I am always happy to show him a little support.

Little does he know how small my reach actually is, and how bad I am about updating this site. No more than two people are likely to see this, but being a pal is fundamental to my identity, so here I am, being one, for whatever its worth.

Also, Jordan T. lost his job to AI earlier this year. I’m not kidding. Everything is so terrible out there. If you can’t offer the guy a job, I say, at least you can buy his book or come out to hear him read.

Alternatively, share this post, tell a friend, post about it, just say hi.

There are so many ways for us to support one another and most of them cost nothing.

I know nothing about Jordan Stewart as of yet, but I’m going to buy his book and listen to him read tomorrow and I’m sure it’ll be enjoyable all around. That’s community, baby!
