Selkmade started out as an Artsy IG. Went for five years. Gave it up. But I remain Selk. And I make stuff. And I post it under the social media handle that has endured for me over the years, @willandbequeath. Will & Bequeath, because I am preoccupied with what we leave behind. ANYWAY. People on the internet sometimes call me “Will” as a result of my Will & Bequeath handle, but it’s been more than fifteen years since I came up with it and I’m not changing it now.
If being an accidental influencer has taught me anything, it’s that a LOT of people don’t read anymore. Not closely, anyway. And yeah, Selkmade was a play on words. Like … because I’m a self-made man, and my name is Selk. Get it? Get it? Jesus Murphy.
