The Write Cup
JEN HANCOCK | I’m signing books in Saint John this week!
Today’s post is a shortie. Come on down to The Write Cup Bookstore Cafe in SJ on Wednesday because I’ll be there, selling and signing books (with fun extras like stickers and key chains and whatnot) and chatting with you and anyone else who wants to chat about reading and indie publishing and stickin’ it to the man and shadow daddies and cringe millennial moms and whatever else you want to talk about.
I love to yap!
The Write Cup is a cool place. Great snacks, good atmopshphere. Cruise shippers will hopefully be in to buy some books to see them on their way before they depart, but I am pumped to talk to anyone and anyone. You don’t have to be pre-cruise!
So come see me and support a TRUE indie bookstore.

What I mean by that is there’s no snootiness. The folks who started The Write Cup are salt-of-the-earth unpretentious types. Frederictonian pseudo-indies … take note. (Lol sorrynotsorry? I may not have made this joke had not ALL of my invoices been pending, six months after the fact, here in town. But this is inside baseball and I digress.)
I’m not going to go on one of my rants about capitalism and middle-men, I promise. Unless you want me to. If so, let me know in private and we can eat chips and talk sh.t. [insert cringe millennial winky emoticon here]
If you want to imagine our potential meet like a blind date (which would be fun, so let’s!) I’ll probably wear my butterfly sweater. It made a bit of a splash at Poetry Weekend. So keep your eyes peeled.
Oh, and thank you again for all the support on the Montreal Poetry Prize thing. I didn’t win but I am sincerely okay. It’s a huge huge huge profile boosting thing, regardless. I am entirely satisfied. Okay, love u baiiiii. (COME ON WEDNESDAY!)
